Global Disciple Training or GDT is a full-time training model focused on equipping disciple-makers for church planting. As Jesus said, “It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master” (Matthew 10:25a, NIV). Disciples are followers of Jesus Christ, who study and obey His teachings, who seek His will and presence in their lives, and who follow His example in their behavior and attitudes.

GDT programs train disciple-makers and church planters to be Christ-like in their character, to live as ambassadors of Jesus who reach the world with the Gospel, and to make disciples who plant fellowships of disciples in least-reached areas. The trainings help prepare disciples to understand and recognize God’s purposes in the world; and participate as co-laborers in the mission of Christ.

GDT programs provide a period of full-time training up to four months (a minimum of 10 days) with a full-time outreach assignment up to 11 months (a minimum of 20 days). The training and outreach combined extend up to one year in duration (a minimum of one month). The outreach time must be at least double the training time. A time of debrief or reentry for 2 to 3 days provides an important time for program participants to reflect on their experience, discuss what God has taught them and prayerfully consider next steps.

GDT programs share a common goal of multiplying disciple-makers and church planters who will take the Gospel to people in the least-reached areas and to multiply fellowships of believers. This goal grows from a longing for everyone to have an opportunity to choose and follow Jesus Christ. GDT programs enhance overall effectiveness by working, learning and praying together, and by sharing knowledge, insight and resources.

When the cluster of churches interested in developing a discipleship-mission training program selects their program director, the GDT track of Global Disciples will provide a 2-week Directors Training for these new directors. During the Directors Training, they learn how to multiply Christ-like disciples as well as how to develop their GDT program according to Global Disciples Alliance criteria. Directors affiliated with the Alliance will also be leaders who share the vision to multiply disciples and churches, and to mentor others.

The GDT track of Global Disciples also connects existing GDT programs with new discipleship-mission training programs by:

• Assisting program development through directors training

• Facilitating mentoring connections

• Providing a network of support, encouragement and limited seed funds from the Alliance Fund.

Global Disciples Training [GDT]በሙሉ ጊዜ የሥልጠና ሞዴልን በመከተል ሌሎችን ደቀ-መዛሙርት የሚያደርጉ የቤተክርስቲያን ተካዮችን ያስታጥቃል፡፡ ኢየሱስ እንደተናገረው “ደቀ-መዝሙር እንደ መምህሩ፣ ባሪያም እንደ ጌታው መሆኑ ይበቃዋል (ማቴ 10፡25) ደቀ-መዛሙርት ከኢየሱስ ክርስቶስየሚማሩና የተማሩትን የሚታዘዙ፣ የእርሱን ፈቃድ የሚፈልጉና በእርሱ ውስጥ የሚኖሩ በባህርያቸውና በአቋማቸው የእርሱን ምሳሌነት የሚከተሉ ናቸው፡፡

የአለም አቀፍ ደቀመዛሙርት ሥልጠና (GDT) መርሃ ግብሮች ደቀ-መዛሙርት አድራጊዎችን የሚያሰለጥንና ቤተክርስቲያን ተካዮች በባህሪያቸው ክርስቶስን እንዲመስሉ እንደ ኢየሱስክርስቶስ አምባሳደሮች እንዲኖሩና ዓለምን በወንጌል በመድረስ ወንጌል በደንብ ባልደረሳቸው አካባቢዎች ደቀ-መዛሙርትን በማፍራት የአማኞች ህብረት እንዲመሰረት ያደርጋሉ፡፡

ሥልጠናዎቹ ደቀመዛሙርት የእግዚአብሔር ለዚህች አለም ያለውን ዓላማ እንዲረዱና እንደ ስራ አጋሮች በክርስቶስ ተልእኮ ውስጥ እንዲሳተፉ ይረዳቸዋል፡፡ የዓለም አቀፉ ደቀመዛሙርት ሥልጠና (GDT) መርሃ-ግብር ቢያንስ ከ10 ቀናት ቢበዛ እስከ አራት ወራት የሚፈጅ የሙሉ ጊዜ ስልጠናን በመስጠት ቢበዛ ለ11 ወራት ቢያንስ ደግሞ ለ20 ቀናት የመስክ ስምሪት ሠልጣኞችን ያዘጋጃል፡፡

የሥልጠናውና የመስክ ስምሪቱ በድምሩ እስከ አንድ ዓመት ጊዜ ሊዘልቅ የሚችል ሲሆን ቢያንስ ደግሞ የአንድ ወር ጊዜን የሚፈጅ ይሆናል፡፡

የመስክ ስምሪቱ ጊዜ ቢያንስ የሥልጠናውን ጊዜ ዕጥፍ የመሆን ግዴታ አለበት፡-

ከመስክ መልስ የሚደረግ የ2 ወይም 3 ቀናት የክለሳ ጊዜ ተሳታፊዎችበስምሪት ወቅት እግዚአብሔር ያስተማራቸውን የሚወያዩበት ልምዳቸውን የሚከፋፈሉበት ስለቀጣዩ ሂደት በፀሎት የሚያሳልፉበት በጣም ጠቃሚ ጊዜ ነው፡፡

የዓለም ዓቀፍ ደቀ-መዛሙርት ሥልጠና (ጂዲቲ) መርሃ-ግብሮች ወንጌል በስፋት ወዳልደረሳቸው አካባቢዎች በመሄድ የሚብዛዙ ደቀ-መዝሙርአድራጊናቤተክርስቲያን የሚተክሉ አገልጋዮችን የማሰልጠን የጋራ ግብ አላቸው፡፡

ይህም ግብ የሚመነጨው እያንዳንዱ ሰው ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን ለማመን እንዲወስንና እንዲከተለው የመምረጥ ዕድል ለመስጠት ነው፡፡

የዓለም አቀፍ ደቀ-መዛሙርት ሥልጠና (GDT) መርሃ- ግብሮች በጋራ በመሥራት፣ በመማርና በጋራ በመፀለይ እንዲሁም ዕውቀትን ሃብትንና አመለካከቶችን በመከፋፈል ለውጤታማነት ለመብቃት ያስችላሉ፡፡

የተጣመሩ አብያተክርስቲያናት የደቀ-መዝሙርነትና ሚሲዮናዊ ሥልጠና መርሃ-ግብሮች የመጀመሪያ ፍላጎት ካላቸውና የመርሃ-ግብር ዳይሬክተራቸውን ከመረጡ፣ የዓለም አቀፍ ደቀ-መዛሙርት ሥልጠና (GDT) ለ2ሳምንታት ለእነዚህ የመርሃ-ግብር ዳይረክተሮች የሥልጠና ጊዜን ያዘጋጃል፡፡ በዳይሬክተር የሥልጠና ወቅት ክርስቶስን የሚመስሉ ደቀ-መዛሙርትን እንዴት እንደሚያብዛዙ እና የዓለም አቀፍ ደቀመዛሙርት ሥልጠና መርሃ-ግብራቸውን በ Global Disciples Alliance መስፈርት መሰረት እንዴት መጀመር እንዳለባቸው ይማራሉ፡፡

ከ"Alliance" ጋራ የሚሰሩ የመርሃ-ግብር ዳይሬክተሮች ደቀመዛሙርትንና ቤተክርስቲያናትን የማብዛዛት ራዕይን የሚጋሩና ሌሎች መሪዎችን የሚያማክሩ መሪዎች ይሆናሉ፡፡የ"Global Disciples" አንዱ የአገልግሎት መስመር የሆነው "GDT" ነባር የዓለም አቀፍ ደቀመዛሙርት ስልጠና መርሃ-ግብሮችን ከአዳዲሶቹ መርሃ ግብሮች ጋር በማያያዝ፡

• በዳይሬክተሮች ሥልጠና ውስጥ መርሃ-ግብሮች እንዲጀመሩ ይረዳል
• የአማካሪ ተመካሪ ግንኙነቶችን ያመቻቻል
• የመረዳዳት፣ የማበረታታት የግንኙነት መረብ ከ"Alliance" የሚገኝ የዘር ገንዘብ ድጋፍን ያዘጋጃል፡፡
